Is it a Creative Collision of Collaborative Curiosity?
...I'm busy piecing together the reflections to find out.
Because I forget to pause and celebrate, I usually do a round-up of the past year, as much for my own sake as anything else.
However, 2025 feels as if it was a seriously pivotal year; my approach to writing and other work, and possibly life itself, began to change.
So… I’m going to write a series of reflections, probably as a month-by-month set of posts, which will attempt to chart and understand this.
I might regret doing this for at least 2 reasons:
I intend to post each one when it is written, rather than wait for all to be in place and then tidy up before any see the light of day. Which means there’s a good chance that some later posts might contradict earlier ones, as I better understand what the year brought me.
The other potential regret is that it’s not been as pivotal or interesting as I think – if that’s the case I might stop at some point, but try to explain why. Also, it might prove too personal which might hinder or halt things too.
Slightly pretentious phrases for this that come to mind are: authentic not algorithmic; author as artist; change as a relational constant. There’ll be more on what I mean by these as the reflections unfold.
Oh, and the title of this post came from one of those potentially pivotal moments - the RSA AGM.
I hope you’ll find this interesting, will stick with me while I do it, and be kind to me if it all goes a bit ‘wonky’.

Sounds like a good experiment and adventure. I look forward to seeing how it grows.
